Local History Bernice Civic Center The Civic Center houses the Even Start Program and the
Union Parish Council on Aging. It has a formal room for activities such as
banquets, plays, and pageants. Oakhurst Civic Clubhouse The Clubhouse is rented for family reunions,
birthday gatherings, meetings, and banquets. It holds up to 150 people. Bernice RV Park The Bernice RV Park has full water, sewer, and electrical
hook-ups. It is located in a quiet neighborhood with beautiful, mature trees providing shade. There is a $15 / day fee and $10 / day fee
for senior citizens. Serenity Gardens and Walking Trail The Serenity Gardens & Walking Trail is a quiet area
with a walking track. It is a secure area with a fence and
lighting for evening walkers. It also has bath house facilities
on the grounds. Bernice Depot Museum and Captain Henderson Caboose The Bernice Depot Museum holds antiques and artifacts from Bernice's history. The Captain Henderson Caboose houses antique children toys and is equipped with a real train horn. |
