located west of US 167 and north of Second Street, and east of US 167
and north of LA Highway 2. There are several tax incentives for

Bernice is a community that is on the brink of major growth. The four-
laning of U. S. Hwy 167 is almost complete. A railroad expansion
to Bernice is in the works. The Town of Bernice is the gateway to
surrounding lakes. They include Lake D'arbonne and State Park, 10
miles, Lake Claiborne and State Park, 13 miles, and Corney Creek Lake
and Dam, 5 miles. Our area is rich with natural resources such as
excellent hunting and fishing. The Town of Bernice and Union Parish has
one of the lowest property tax bases in the state. Our area is in the
Renewal Community and the Enterprise Zone.
