Our vision for economic development in and around the Town of Bernice is multi-dimensional and capitalizes on our industrial park, excellent infrastructure, and vast natural resources. We also have a task force working to become a certified Louisiana Economic Development community. It is our goal to restore, repair, or remove as many unsightly structures as possible. 

Our industrial and sister organization, Bernice Industrial Development Corporation (BIDCO) seeks to utilize over one million square feet of available, enclosed storage space, and we join the owners in promoting that. Our vision incorporates encouraging business and manufacturing interests that will utilize our oil and gas, forest products, and boiler industry. 

Bernice is centrally located in the proximity of three quality lakes, providing great fishing and other water recreational activities. One primary objective is to extensively advocate the patronage of these lakes, scenic waterways, existing establishments, and our small town hospitality. We fully believe that securing one successful new business and employer to locate here will spawn new growth and new beginnings for Bernice. We are eagerly working and waiting for that phone call.
