Mission Statement About the Area

Mission Statement

The mission of the Union Parish Tourist Commission is to promote visitation and tourism into the parish.

About the Area

Union Parish occupies approximately 912 square miles in the great "Piney Hills" zone of northern Louisiana. Union Parish, bordered by Arkansas to the north and the scenic Ouachita River to the east, is truly a nature lover's paradise. There are plenty of opportunities for fishing, boating, sailing, swimming and waterskiing at the 15,250-acre Lake D'Arbonne (a new state park), Upper Ouachita/D'Arbonne National Wildlife Refuges, and the Union Parish Wildlife Management Area.
