Corney Creek Festival - April 2006
The annual Corney Creek Festival is held in downtown Bernice each year. The festival features live entertainment, arts and crafts, a carnival and plenty of food. For more information, contact Bernice Town Hall at (318) 285-9071.
Mayhaw Festival - May 7, 2005
The annual Mayhaw Festival is held on Mother's Day weekend each year in downtown Marion. The festival features arts and crafts, entertainment, food booths, quilt shows, and tasty mayhaw berry and mayhaw jellly for purchase. The Mayhaw Orchard, located on the outskirts of Marion, features more than 400 trees. Mayhaw also grows wild throughout north Louisiana, mostly in swampy areas. Watermelon Festival - July 29 & 30, 2005
The annual celebration of the Louisiana Watermelon Festival is held in downtown Farmerville. Featured activities include a parade, a street dance, a watermelon auction, eating and seed-spitting contests. The Miss Louisiana Watermelon Festival Pagent is also held at this time.
